Specialist Muck Away for Construction Projects
Prospect Materials Ltd provides muck away services for construction, civils and groundwork projects across the UK. We remove excavated spoil, soils and hardcore from site and route it through licensed, Environment Agency–regulated facilities.
From clean inert muck to hazardous contaminated soils, we make sure your material is correctly tested, classified and moved off site in line with current waste regulations.
We can arrange collection or disposal for:
Clean inert muck (uncontaminated soils, clays and hardcore)
Non-hazardous muck (soils and spoil with low‑level contamination)
Hazardous muck (contaminated soils and spoil)
Mixed muck and construction spoil, only by agreement
Soil analysis & classification
Before muck can be removed, it needs to be properly classified. A soil analysis is required to establish whether your spoil is inert, non‑hazardous or hazardous, and to pick up any other issues such as Japanese knotweed or elevated contaminants.
These results decide which outlets can accept the material, how it must be handled on and off site, what disposal costs will apply and which duty of care documents you need.
We can help you arrange testing, explain what the laboratories require, and walk you through the reports so you know exactly how your muck has been classified and that you remain compliant with the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011.
For your muck away enquiry to be fully assessed and categorised, please contact us with your site details, expected volumes and any soil reports you already have.
We’re committed to Sustainability
We take environmental responsibility seriously. Wherever possible, excavated soils, clay, hardcore and spoil are recovered or recycled rather than sent straight to landfill.
On every muck away job, you can be confident we’re focused on reducing landfill and using appropriate recovery routes, with material taken only to approved outlets.
Prospect Materials Ltd is a registered waste carrier, broker and dealer under the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011, and all muck movements are handled by licensed carriers and taken to Environment Agency–regulated facilities.
By combining proper soil classification, clear paperwork and carefully managed disposal routes, we make muck away both straightforward and environmentally responsible for your construction and groundwork projects.
